ADHD Extravaganza coming to Ely this September
I'm really pleased to be bringing something a little different to Ely this September.
On Saturday 19th September, I'll be hosting the ADHD Extravaganza at The Lighthouse on Lynn Road. It's an afternoon celebrating neurodiversity, bringing people together and giving some brilliant neurodivergent local businesses an opportunity to share what they do.
What can you expect?
There will be plenty going on during the afternoon, including an ADHD talk from me, ADHD coach and teacher Michael Ling, with guest speakers.
We'll also have live music from neurodivergent artist Ava Lee, alongside a range of stalls from neurodivergent local businesses.
The stalls will cover a real mix of interests, including:
Art and crafts
Fitness
Health and nutrition
Wellbeing
Neurodivergent massage
Professional home organisation
Food and drinks
The idea is that you can come along for the whole afternoon or simply spend some time looking around the stalls, listening to the music and meeting some of the people involved.
A welcoming and inclusive event
One of the things I really wanted when putting the event together was for it to feel welcoming to everyone.
You don't need to have ADHD to come along. You don't need to know much about neurodiversity either. Whether you're neurodivergent yourself, have a neurodivergent child or family member, work with neurodivergent people or are simply interested in learning more, you're very welcome.
All of the stallholders and contributors taking part are neurodiverse, so the event is also a chance to support and discover some great local people and businesses.
Supporting ADHD UK
There's also a very good reason for coming along beyond having a great afternoon.
All profits from the ADHD Extravaganza will be donated to ADHD UK.
So by buying a ticket and coming along, you're helping support a charity doing important work for people affected by ADHD, while also supporting neurodivergent local businesses.
Come along!
The event takes place on:
Saturday 19th September
3pm-6:30pm
The Lighthouse,
Lynn Road,
Ely
Tickets are £9 each or £15 for two, and children under 16 can attend for free.
I'd love to see the event packed with local people, so if you're in Ely, Cambridge or the surrounding area, please come along and join us.
It should be a fun afternoon, there'll be plenty to see and do, and most importantly, it will be an opportunity to celebrate neurodiversity together while raising money for a very good cause.
