I'm looking forward to delivering my Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Beyond the Myths talk at two venues in Littleport this week.
Whether you're an employer, manager, colleague, someone who is neurodivergent yourself, or simply interested in learning more, these talks are designed to challenge some of the common misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity and encourage more informed, supportive conversations in the workplace.
Awareness of ADHD, autism and dyslexia has grown significantly in recent years, but many myths and misunderstandings remain. Too often, people are judged on stereotypes rather than their individual strengths, challenges and support needs. My aim is to provide practical, evidence-based information that helps people move beyond those assumptions.
What Will the Talk Cover?
During the session, we'll explore topics including:
Common misconceptions surrounding ADHD, autism and dyslexia
The realities of receiving a diagnosis and the myths that still exist
Workplace stigma and the impact it can have on employees
Reasonable adjustments that can make a meaningful difference
Practical strategies for creating more inclusive and supportive working environments
The talk is suitable for both neurodivergent and neurotypical attendees, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
Upcoming Dates
Wednesday 24th June 6:00pm – 7:00pm St George's Church, Littleport CB6 1PS
Saturday 27th June 11:00am – 12:00pm Feoffees Hall, City Road, Littleport CB6 1NG
Why These Conversations Matter
One of the things I enjoy most about delivering these talks is hearing people's experiences and the conversations that continue long after the presentation has finished.
Whether someone is beginning to question whether they might be neurodivergent, supporting a family member, or looking to create a more inclusive workplace, understanding neurodiversity benefits everyone. The more we move away from assumptions and towards understanding, the easier it becomes for people to thrive both professionally and personally.
If you're local to the Ely area - or even from further out - I'd love to see you there.
